I've decided I'm giving these for holiday gifts to many this year. I have an apple crisp topping (they add butter and apples) to start with. I'm loving the look of this one from Bakerella http://www.bakerella.com/mix-things-up/

Any to add?

Oooohhh, sounds like a great gift for family! Bumping to see if the morning crowd has any adds.

My very favorite, make-all-the-time brownie recipe is a mix-in-a-jar recipe.

Layer in a quart jar:
1/2 cup + 2 Tblsp flour
1/3 cup cocoa
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup vanilla or white chocolate chips
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (or omit)

Ingredients that need to be added
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil

Instructions for tag:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour the contents of jar into a bowl and add 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla, 3 eggs and 1/2 cup vegetable oil. Mix until just combined. Pour batter into greased 9x9 pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until done.

My only problem with this recipe is that the time is never correct and I can't remember how long I really bake them for. Each time I make them, I think I should check on the time, but I forget. They also take much longer to cook for me than I think they should. Some versions say to cook for 25-30 minutes but that definitely wouldn't work in my oven!
