We've had the uber cheap doll strollers before, and I really don't care for them. I hate how the seat fabric slips off constantly.

I am looking for a decent doll stroller to get my 22 month old for Christmas (she will be 22 months at Christmas). But I don't want to spend a ton of money either...I'm thinking $30-50 or so. Any suggestions for a durable, reasonably priced doll stroller?

We got a Chicco one online at Target last Christmas. It is very sturdy & well made. I think it was around $40

MIL got DD this one last Christmas and it is super well made. DD spends as much time sitting in as any of her dolls ;)

we have 2 of the maclaren umbrella style, and they have stood up quite well to daily (ab)use.

We have had this one for 3-4 years and has held up great. It has made camping trips, outside in the rain - it has gone everywhere and it has been wonderful!

We have a Maclaren one (I think recommended years ago by Watchingthemgrow:wavey: before I ever met her IRL ;) ) and it has held up well. Very satisfied w/ the quality for the price.

See, we had the Mac one and the fabric slipped off constantly. Did we just get a bad one?

This is what I HATE about the doll umbrella strollers! I think I like the Chicco one just because of that fact.

The fabric on the PBK one has never slipped. Its really well made, better than a lot of real stroller IMO.

Another vote for the Chicco one from Target! We bought it last year after suffering through with a cheap one for my older DD. We love it!!! Even my 7 year old said, "why did she get this cool stroller and I had that yucky one the seat kept coming off of?" I was looking for a gift to buy a child who needed nothing because she had all her sisters hand me downs so kind of wanted a nicer expensive stroller and looked at the pbk strollers but the reviews on this one were so good, I went with it. And I very often find my 3 year old being pushed in it by her older sister until I catch them and make them stop - and it hasn't broken yet!

Another vote for the Chicco one. We love it. People always comment on what a fancy stroller it is and I always feel I need to make sure they know I only spent $40 on it. My favorite part is the wheels. They are so smooth and quiet. My DH is very particular about toys on our wood floors. He would never allow DD to push one with those typical hard plastic wheels around on our floors, which would make it a very boring toy. She'd be stuck doing circles in her carpeted bedroom.

Another plus of the Chicco one is that the front wheels swivel so it makes steering it much easier. (just like on a real stroller!) Most of the other ones have non-swivel wheels.

DD has the bitty baby stroller and it is fabulous!!! I like the basket with it..extra room for another doll or baby stuff.

The fabric never came off of our maclaren doll stroller. Ours is black and pink...not sure what model that is.

We also love the Chicco! I think it's about 3 years old now and still looks like new, even with almost daily play.

We have the PBK doll stroller. I second the fact that it is very well made. DD has put many things in it (books, blocks, etc) and it still looks brand new. It's one of the most played toy at our house.

We've had this one now for nearly 6 years. It's great. The kids enjoy it and I think it's so adorable I'm happy to have it in my living room. Though we actively discourage it, real live children have sat in it briefly on several occasions - it's pretty sturdy.

I completely agree. We have the even more old school version like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Little-Tikes-tykes-kids-size-big-doll-stroller-buggy-carriage-pretend-toy-outdor-/250903187117?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a6afecead#ht_1242wt_907 that had been around the block many times before I got it off of ebay about seven years ago. It's still going strong and is a big hit around here.
