Gator just outgrew his Kohl's brand Arizona jeans. I've loved those because they last so well for us. Since he moved up to a size 8, I took him to the big boy section of Kohl's and found nothing but Levis and Lees. The denim felt so thin and even on sale they were twice as much money as the Arizonas!

Any others suggestions?

My boys are just moving into 7 slims for jeans. I still have the best luck with Lands' End jeans for them ~ the Old Navy jeans they had last year wore out before they outgrew them, but not the LE ones. I always wait for sales & coupons to bring the price down to reasonable levels.

My 10 yo DS still wears size 8. Gymboree size 8 slim jeans fit him really well. I only buy them on sale with coupons.

Target, Cherokee brand. My son wears slims and these are the best fit (and least expensive) that I have found. They frequently go on sale for 12$ a pop, and last year in the fall they went on sale for 8$- I bought a ton at that time. hth

Gap slim or skinny jeans with a code. He also wears Levi's bought from Costco. He has 2-3 pairs of jeans per size so price is not super important, but I stll like to get some sort of discount.

LE Climber. They also come in slim.

Last year I got him size 8 jeans from Old Navy when they were on sale for $10--lasted really well.

This year I got him size 10 jeans from Gymboree Outlet when they had them for $12 a month or so ago, and these are really nice too.

Just got a pair for DS1 at The Children's Place. They were on sale for $10. I've gotten them at Gap before when I had to have a pair asap and couldn't order online.

Just bought DS some bootcut jeans from TCP tonight. They look really good on and still have an adjustable waist. I paid $12 because I didn't have a coupon.

Gap. Usually at the end of summer they'd have a buy one get one for $10 sale making them in the mid to upper $20 range. Or find them on eBay, consignment shops/sales/etc. I used to get them from Hanna but they're a lot thinner than the gap ones and in the last couple of years my Ds has really started 'using' the knees of his jeans at school. LOL. I've wondered if I should check Old Navy for a better deal, but haven't yet. Until sizing up into 10s this year, Gap seemed to be the only brand that still had the 'slide/hook' style of fastening that my Ds preferred.

I think moving into 8s is really tricky. My advice is to play around with sizes and see what you get.
My DS started to outgrow 7s, but 8s were HUGE! I ended up trying some different brands and kept him in 7s. Everything changes once you hit the big boy sizes.

Try 8 to 10s! Who didn't think boys come in a size 9?!
