I'm about to pull the trigger on a Bob this weekend but the black are backordered so I'm considering getting the plum since I'm just eh on the navy and orange. Will it affect resale value? I plan on using this stroller with DD for the next 2 or so years so it's not like I'm only thinking about the resale value but I do want to take it into account.

Color definitely affects resale value, but in the case of a plum Bob, I wouldn't worry about it. The plum is dark enough to be gender-neutral, and it's actually attractive. Plus it is only on the most recent model, so it will tell people the age of the stroller. With navy or orange you can't always tell from the pics if the person is selling a 3 year old or 8 year old one, so having one that is clearly not so old is a good thing.

I think it is hard to predict. Plum isn't like pink, it won't automatically cut out half the market. But there are some people who wouldn't use it for a boy (I am not one of those people). I'm not sure that's enough people to make a real difference though. I'd just go ahead and get what you want, after all you are going to be looking at it everyday for the next couple of years.

I have a purple bee, and I have both a boy and a girl using it equally.

It could affect resale but since BOBs are so sought after I think you would be fine. They go so fast people would probably be willing to grab your plum even if it wasn't their first choice.

Ok, I did it! I finally bought a Bob! Eeek! Couldn't pass up 20% off with no tax and no shipping.
