Regards to all present and future moms and dads! :bighand:

Today I got the best news in my life, I became a dad of a little girl! :yay:
I need your help to choose a baby stroller for my little girl.
In my country, unfortunately, the selection is not huge so please help me what to choose from the following:

1. Maclaren Juicy Couture
2. Maclaren xlr
3. Inglesina Avio
4. Inglesina Zippy Free
5. Cybex Topaz

Every experience and advice is welcome! :wink2:

For a newborn, I would definitely go with the Avio and get the bassinet too!

Congratulations on your precious new baby!

:yeahthat:

Or possibly the zippy free - that's the reversible one, right?

Is the Cybex Callisto available? If I were to do it over again that's what I would get. There is a carry cot available, the handle is nice and high if you are tall, the canopy is amazing and it has a 50 pound weight limit (as opposed to 40 with the Avio). If you and your partner are small people, this may not be an issue but my DH and I are very tall and DD1 was 40 pounds at 2.5.
We recently got a Cybex Onyx and I love it!

Congrats!
I would probably go with the Avio also, because you can use a bassinet with it, and I prefer a one bar handle over 2 umbrella handles-- easier to push imo.

I was thinking Callisto, with the carrycot.

And big congratulations to you!

I would get the reversible option. I love being able to see my babies. If you don't get the zippy free I think I would choose the avio because i prefer a one bar handle. I would check if your local cybex dealer could order you the callisto. It would be a great option as a PP said. Zippy free is still my first choice though because of the reversible seat.

Thank you all for your help! :applause:
I contacted Cybex dealer, in the next week arrives Callisto 3 in 1 system :rotflmao:
My friend works in a company that is the importer for Maclaren and Cybex, so I'll get a good discount too. :D

Great set! The purple is gorgeous! I have lusted over it in the past. I even love the matching Aton carseat. :)
Congrats on your beautiful little girl and her lovely stroller!

Oh, that is pretty! And I'm really not a pink & purple person, so that says a lot.

Congratulations and enjoy your little girl!

Congrats, it's beautiful--I have the Onyx but now I'm lusting after the Callisto.

Oh, I love having 3 DS but a DD would have been nice just to be able to buy a purple and pink stroller! (I should have just gotten a "girl" stroller for DS3--he wouldn't have cared!)

Thank you all, I am glad you like it. :bighand:
I had ordered this stroller based on your recomandations, before I had a chance to see it. It was a good choice and I am very grateful to you.

I would like to ask Callisto oweners to help me to remove cover from the stroller (I want to wash it). There is a belt that I have no idea how to remove:

I'm not sure that part actually detaches from the seat cover? Regal Lager's youtube channel has a video that shows how to remove the entire seat from the frame (it's the one showing how to use the car seat adaptor. Maybe remove the seat and see if it's more obvious at that point?

Mikele

I already did it. I detached everything but this belt (from the picture), which doesent allow me to remove the cover from the seat construction.

legaleagle

I'd just wash it with the belt then. Strollers aren't like carseats, you can wash the harness safely. :)

As i understand, Mikele is saying that he can detach most of the seat from the frame but this harness part won't allow it to completely detach.

Hope someone on here can help you Mikele! :)

Oh, I misread as he got the seat off, but the harness is attached to the seat! Is is impossible to wiggle it down? Maybe call/email your distributor or regal lager?

Does the carrycot/bassinet fit on the same adapters as the car seat adapter?

:yeahthat: Oh yea, I meant to say that too. So beautiful in fact I am hoping the callisto bassinet could fit my bee+ with use of the maxi cosi adapters which I know fit the cybex aton car seat.

They're different. Well, they're technically the same adaptor but it flips up for one and down for the other. Very clever, actually, since you can decide on the fly whether you're using the seat or the bassinet. Look at the regal lager youtube videos for the demo.

That would be awesome! And quite possible since the Toro bassinet fits, but the Callisto carrycot is so much nicer looking!

Boo. The toro bassinet is fine but callisto one is more dreamy IMHO.

I think I prefer the toro one. I don't like the way the Cybex logo is splashed across the side. And then there's the fact that the toro carrycot cost me $50 on sale on diapers. I have a way with carrycot sales- mostly because I refuse buy them separately full price. My Swift carrycot was $75 NIB from ebay.

I stared at those toro bassinets for weeks. I had the orange one in my cart so many times but baby #3 is still far off so it just seemed silly to buy. Hopefully something else will come up in the next year or I'll just get by without a bassinet. I did the first 2 times.
