Just curious. I think my DS would love it as a riding board. But I haven't heard good things about the steering as a scooter, and wondering if it's easy to walk behind it as a board.

We have one and we used it today to stroll around the neighborhood. The steering is not the best. I used it with the P&T which has great steering on it's own IMO but with the scooter attached umm not so much. It does help that the adapter can be placed on any part of the axel. As you can see from the picture we put ours to the far left of the axel. I preferred steering the P&T by walking off to one side over walking with the scooter and child in the center. I found that my stride was more unnatural and uncomfortable with the scooter in the center.

I do really like the option of having the scooter though especially for my 3 year old who doesn't really like to ride in a stroller anymore. She loves riding in the scooter and never asked to get off which is not the case in a stroller and THAT was nice. :bighand: She even rode on the scooter for over a mile! I might hesitate to use this set up in a city with lots of people traffic such as Boston. I would still try it, but I just don't know if I would prefer it.

I was so excited for the freerider but I don't think it really delivers. A scooter that has no steering mechanism at all seems pretty useless to me. I was hoping they paid mini-kick to use their steering system.

We use it on our MBUD. DD loves it. It's nice to have a riding board that actually has handles for the kid to hold onto. It's not a pain to walk with on a double but I imagine it would be if you use it with a single - it's huge. I haven't tried it as a scooter yet.
