DD is 4. She wears a size 7 shirt. I've found that most of the brands in 6X are just not big enough for her. she wears mostly HA leggings. I cannot find shirts long enough to cover her rear (at least part of it). I HATE the way it looks when she wears leggings with shirts that are just a little to short. Even some 7's I'm finding run shorter (she wears Gymbo, Justice (only when I've found appropriate shirts), HA (which are also wider, but do not always run long enough), TCP (which are basically ok). What brands have shirts that run longer?

I guess I'm looking for swing tops mostly, but still want them long enough so it doesn't look gross.

Maybe tunic tops would work for her better than regular "tops" http://www.landsend.com/ix/girls-clothing/Girls/Tops/Tunics/index.html?seq=1~2~3~4&catNumbers=400~401~407&visible=1~2~1~1&tab=4

:yeahthat: Tunics with leggings are adorable. They are long enough without being too wide.

we have a similar issue with DD1 and I recently got her some of these Ts from LE. She can wear them with leggings and the shirt covers most of her bum.
She started wearing a 5 in Gymbo and I bought her a Medium Little Girls which fits great. These shirts are definately longer than one's we have from TCP, HA and Gymbo.

LE does seem to run longer. I had forgotten about that.

My thoughts exactly. Target had some super cute ones on clearance for $1.98. DD, who wears about a 9/10 in tops, has a size 10/12 ones that I pair with HA leggings; it looks adorable. I picked up one more and two in the next size for next fall. :-)

DD#1 "lives" in her HA leggings, too. Swing/tunic tops are great, but she doesn't have any for this year. Mostly, we're pairing her leggings with tunic-length dresses or jumpers, or her hands-down favorite, tops with skirts.

I like WatchingThemGrow's suggestions, above. LLBean also had a couple this Fall, and you can always check Ebay for past season HA (they've has more swing/
tunic tops, as opposed to tunic-length dresses, in past years.)

Gap tops are definitely longer than Gymboree. Some of the styles are slim, but some right now are not as slim, too, so good with leggings.

ETA: I don't know if you could find these at an outlet or somewhere, because they're almost entirely sold out, but DD has two of these-- blue and the picking violets, and they are adorable and cover the behind, at least the way they fit her, and she's got a long torso. They're definitely longer on her than how they're styled in the photo.

Could you add a skirt instead of getting longer tops?
