Got my New Yorker Today, there's this a great one about trying to celebrate the Day of the Dead in a school. Thankfully it only reminds be of 10% of conversations I have with other parents.

FWIW, we celebrate Halloween at our school but Day of the Dead has been covered in previous years (I think - or maybe that was Handy Manny.) Seriously though, DS's teachers have encouraged students to discuss holidays they celebrate, some kids have their parents come in to discuss with examples and (always popular) food samples.
