When I lose weight, I seem to lose it everywhere except my stomach. My arms, chest, legs... How do I get it off of my tummy??

no advice, just commiseration...i have the same problem, and it's so frustrating!!

the one thing that worked for me back in college is low-carb diet. thinking about doing it again eventually, but it's so hard to follow strict diets when you have little ones around.

That's the frustrating thing... I've been on a very low-carb diet now for a month. It's coming off everywhere but my stomach. Argh!

I've heard that cutting out all refined sugar can reduce your belly a lot but I haven't tried it yet. I am gearing up to try soon.

I don't know if there's a way. I think everyone loses/gains differently. When I lose weight, my stomach is the first place I notice losing it. My butt? Not so much.

I don't know if this book is any good or not, but I've seen the author on talk shows talking about losing stomach fat so here's a link to his book:

I agree with a lot of the pp. Most ppl will lose wt in a certain order (that you have no control over). When I lose wt, I lose it off of my face first, then thighs, fingers and then I start to notice some coming off of the tummy. Most importantly, I find that pure cardio doesn't help much with your tummy fat. In order to get to the point where I was noticing a difference, I found that pilates and zumba (lots of butt and hip wiggling) help the most to trim down my mid-section. Of course, watching your caloric intake helps tremendously too.
