I googled but didn't come up with alot that I think 3 yo ds could do. I want to do some neat Halloween themed things this week with him.

On my list so far...

-Cotton ball ghost
-Jar pumpkin - make a face w/masking tape on a clear jar and let ds paint it with orange acrylic paint

I also want to do some neat halloween-y lunch ideas

-Monster Mouths - 2 slices of apple held together with peanut butter (or sunbutter for us) with mini marshmallows for teeth
-creepy hot dogs with the pasta stuck in them and then cooked (they kinda look like jellyfish but still neat)
-hot dog mummies - wrap strips of breadstick dough around and use mustard for eyes after cooking

Oh and I just found some cute ideas here

Anything else that would be neat for a pre-preschool crowd!

How about something like these (http://www.sarahsthreads.com/journal/2011/08/stained-glass-apples/) in pumpkin shapes? DD2 is just a bit older than your DS and had fun with the glue and the tissue paper!

The link you shared has some really great ideas!

Spider webs! Need a shoe box, white paint, a marble, and a piece of black paper. Line the box with the black paper. Dip the marble in the paint, then put it in the box and roll it around. Great fun. Better if you have a plastic spider to put on at the end!

We did something very similar to this, but slightly different. I cut orange construction paper into long strips. Then DS used his scissors to cut the strips into smaller squares of paper. I drew a pumpkin on another piece of construction paper and then he used a glue stick to glue the orange pieces of paper inside the pumpkin shape. It turned out looking pretty cute and he enjoyed it.

The blog, One Pretty Thing (http://www.oneprettything.com/) always has a ton of wonderful ideas. I bet you could find some there.

You can also buy some of the wooden shapes from Micheals or Joanns and let them decorate them with markers.
