What do you do for a yeast infection? I have one and just really don't know what to do about it?

Thanks

go to the store and buy miconazole ( monistat is the brand name) they have 1 day , 3 day and 7 day. I generally do the 3 day Wash all your undies on hot. Eat lots of yogurt

If I catch it early enough, I've gone the "crunchy granola" route as DH likes to call it . . . I insert a peeled garlic clove instead of the OTC cream, and put a little plain yogurt on any external areas that are itchy. I ended up trying this after way too many rounds of monistat, and could not get over how well it worked.

Call the doctor and get an oral anti-fungal. Having tried the OTC stuff, I now know that they really won't do the trick for me. Last time I had a YI, I needed two rounds of oral meds.

Call your OB/Gyn. Mine will call in a Difflucan (oral pill, I usually need to take 2 pills, 72hrs apart) or a 3 day cream to treat it. I up my probiotics too.

over the counter stuff doesn't work for me
