I wanted to post because I'm always searching here for shoe recs. DS has a really wide foot, all that has worked for us so far is SKR. I didn't really like any of their fall shoes so I've been searching for something different. He's been wearing SKR sandals since August, and it is finally cooling off in Texas so he needs regular shoes.
I bought these Umi's at Zappos.

They are really wide like SKR and open wide because of the velcro strap. Very flexible. Seem well made, hopefully they hold up well. The foot bed is really soft and DS has no problems wearing them without socks. I got the brown/blue color combo and I think they will match just about all of DS clothes.
Sizing is a little weird since they are European. I got a size 22 (6.5). They are a little big but a size smaller probably wouldn't have worked. DS is wearing a size 6 in SKR and his toe is just barely touching the end. The pair I purchased also came in larger sizes but Zappos has sold out of everything above a 6.5.
