Need help- Family Pictures

We have family pictures coming up in a few weeks, and I have been struggling with what everyone should wear. I have finally decided on DDs' outfits....one will be wearing a purple corduroy dress and the other will be wearing a dark berry sweater with a gray skirt. I bought the following scarf in raspberry for myself (but I didn't pay that much!) because it coordinates well with DDs' outifts, but I'm not sure what else to wear?!? I was thinking a gray sweater with black pants? But what kind of sweater? Cardigan? V-neck? Or what? Or do I ditch the scarf and go a different route entirely. FWIW, DH will be in either a gray or black v-neck sweater with a white button-down shirt.

You actually sound like you are on the right track. I like that not everything is the same color but everything sounds to be coordinating nicely. This is what I would do - lay all the clothing on the bed, side-by-side. Start adding things (or taking away) as you see what looks good, including accessories. I'd say try shopping from your closet first, to see if you have something that works. I love the idea of scarves and accessories. It adds a lot of interest to the pictures!

Thanks for all the links. I've peeked at a few of them, and am going to go back and look some more. DD2's dress doesn't fit so now I'm sort of back at square one. ARGH! Why does this have to be so hard!?!
