I am looking for the impossible to find perfect winter boot. I really don't want to buy winter boots for warmth + snow boots + rain boots. I am looking for a boot that she'll be willing to wear all day (comfort & lightweight) but is also waterproof for snowstorms.

I bought older DD these & she loves them:

She wore them today in the pouring rain & stayed toasty dry. The problem is that I think they are mediocre to low quality & my 3 yo needs better boots. She always complains that her feet hurt & cries in pain while I rub them. I am willing to spend more but don't really want to spend $100/pair!

So far I've found these:

Ecco snowboots which are really too clunky for every day cold weather wear:

I love these Primigis but they don't come in her size... boo hoo

I'd love any input or recs for other boots.

What about Crocs? Pre-DS I thought Crocs were hideous, but now I love them and it's pretty much all he wears. It's one of the few shoes he doesn't complain that hurt his feet. They're cute, comfortable, and easy for him to get on & off. He has the Crocakiddo boots for everyday and the Gust for wet weather. Not sure if they have any codes right now, but if you sign up for their emails, they'll send you a code for either 15 or 20% off, IIRC.

Great idea! I had only seen the crocs rain boots before. How wearable are the two pairs? They both look a bit clunky- can he run around & play in them?

I found the perfect boots! Totes for Kids, in JC Penney:

I actually bought her a pair of Clarks boots but when we saw these I decided to return those. They are slightly bulky, but they are almost identical to her sisters' boots & they are over the moon to have matching boots. They were marching around in pj's & boots tonight!
Thanks for your help.

Could you let us know how you wind up liking them? I was also hoping to find the "perfect" winter boot after never having had success at this before. My DD had a different style of Totes boots last year that claimed to be waterproof, but they were anything but - her feet got soaked every time she wore them in snow or rain. I was really surprised since I assumed Totes knew wet! So I've wondered whether I just got a faulty pair or something...
