View Full Version : Favorite stroller for a 2 year old?

I sent the BJCM back. Im going with a Uppababy G-lite for short trips.

What would you choose as a day trip stroller for a 26lb 2 year old? Why? :boogie:


Would like it to be:
Easy to fold.
Not too heavy.
Have a decent basket.

ETA: While my dream stroller is the Bee+, there is no way I could afford to spend more than $300 on a stroller :(

I'm loving my new Cybex Onyx and can't say enough good things about it. The straps are so easy to adjust the recline is easy and the canopy is huge. Another plus is that it has a high weight limit so if you have big kids it will work until they won't want to ride. The fold is super easy and one handed. The basket is pretty good and it isn't tippy, even with the skip hop hanging off the back.

How about a Valco Quad? I believe it was around $300 on the Schnoop deal (please correct me if I'm wrong :)). Maybe wait and see if it comes up again soon?

I would want an AT stroller-- maybe a used Indie or BOB Rev.

Now that Ive been looking at the Cybex strollers more and more they are growing on me again :bouncy: I had a Topaz last year and sold it when I got the BJCM. The canopy was my biggest complaint for that stroller but it looks like theyve made some great changes.

Are there any good prices on a 2010 Topaz in purple? Whats the best price as far as the 2011 Onyx in purple?

I bought my Quad on the Shnoop deal, and it was actually only $199! I'm not sure what you consider an "easy" fold, OP, but I think it's completely fine for car use (a two-step fold), and I LOVE the stroller. Great storage, excellent push, huge canopy. Really, I can't say enough good things about it! Strollerqueen has a very detailed review of it on her website.

The current Albee code 15OFF works on Cybex, so the onyx would be $195.

I have a Mac Techno xt as the car stroller and love it! For longer day trips, Bob Revo. Gotta say though, in the last month I ve only used used the strollers a couple times for my 2.5 yo DD.... :(

My 2 yr old loves both my mac starck and kelty jogger. I don't have any trouble with him not wanting to sit in them.

Oh duh :rotflmao: Im a member there but I cant figure out how to navigate what is for sale. Is there a specific forum or is everything mixed together (thats how it looks to me when I log in).

everything is pretty much mixed together. I just keep an eye out for threads that say FS (for sale) or FSOT (for sale or trade).

Actually, there is a Database on the left hand side that lists strollers for sale. You can also post an "ISO", or look in the photo section, at the latest pictures that are posted.

And Regal Lager is great with customer service--in fact I love them, lol!
