Here's what I wrote in the thread about the vacuum:
ETA: Yikes, just realized that this is NOT the cordless version. Not sure if I would actually want it in that case. It still gets great reviews, but I like the cordless version. Sorry about that.
Here's my review of the cordless version:
I had two Eureka Quick-ups and they lasted for a long time before I finally killed them both (I think the batteries died, they both stopped charging but they were quite old). These little vacuums were FANTASTIC. I have recommended them a bunch. They are lightweight, powerful, even pick up bigger stuff like cheerios (which I certainly need!) and hold a pretty good charge. I think this is a great price.
Slightly off-topic, but one of the reason I had two of these is that my twins (now 5) LOVED to vacuum with them. I figured rather than give them toy vacuums they could actually help out! These are a bit tall for toddlers, but plenty light enough for them to run around with them.
A few other stick vacs on sale listed in this thread, but I don't know how great they are:
