Wow - that's an even more awesome find than the M&D puppet theater! I think I'll have to make a trip to my farther one, just in case they have either of these (I went to the one right by work yesterday and bought a tabletop air hockey table and an Alex puppet theater - good deals, but not that exciting)...

Ooooh well maybe instead of attempting a nap (which is always a fail, but they are so tired), we will go to TM!

So I went again this afternoon (since ds didn't want to nap anyway) and picked up the other Ryan's Dollhouse that was there. Same dollhouse I bought in the morning, but it was 19.99, and the one this morning was 12.49. I asked them about it and the manager explained that they might have different skus, even though they're the same item (and I checked my receipts at home - sure enough, different skus). When they get things in, they get a sku, so if something has been there longer, it might ring up as cheaper even though it's the same item. Interesting info - never heard that at Tuesday Morning before.

I also picked up Frontier logs (220 pc) for 8.99, Darda Jump Stunt Challenge for 8.99, and another awesome deal - an Alex magnetic tabletop easel for 12.49! Whooohoo! :bighand:

they had this kidkraft kitchen for $14.99 @ our store (not marked). would you get this for a 4 1/2 year old - or do you think it's too small?

thanks!

I love that kitchen! It seems like kids of almost any age will play in any kitchen - I would totally snap that up. If it doesn't end up working, you'll make a profit on Craigslist!

Wow. I had no idea Tuesday Morning could generate this kind of deal. Thank you OP and PP -- wouldn't have known what to look for! (I even called to ask about the dollhouse and was told they had none -- went to look for myself and YES found one :cheerleader1:)

Also scored the floor puppet theatre (Alex version 12.49) and other stuff:
games from 1.49 - 2.49 (Disney, Playskool)
kids portable MP3 player $9
View master projector $6
Sesame Street chess set (DH bday gift!) $6
Table top puppet theatre $6.49
gorgeous Gotz doll $8.49
Learning Resources pretend and play animal hospital $6.49

Must resist checking out other stores...

Thanks again, BBB!

I went to ours, which is an hour away and totally struck out. then I felt like I needed a shower, lol!!! the ceiling in there is so low and it felt like I was in a flea market. I wish the playmobil would have been clearanced! I didn't see any "big " toys aside from a train table, that wasn't marked down.

Are you my neighbor?! :rotflmao: Ours is terrible. It's so old and run down, and totally disorganized, which is weird, b/c it's in a nice plaza, in the pricey part of town. I did see the puppet theater, a kid's greenhouse with gardening tools, and a cute tabletop easel, but that was about it. A lot of the boxes were open, and prices were missing, or confusing.

Tuesday Morning is a junk store through and through. With realllllly cheap gems here and there.

Mine had separate sections for the baby and preschooler toys and the bigger kid toys. It also had two different puppet theaters, a pink table and chairs set, Ryan's room furnishings, and a couple of play wonder (Target house brand) dollhouse furniture sets. I picked up a learn the states and capitals write-on/wipe off for DS1, a plush Winnie the Pooh super sleuth for DS2, and some stacking cups for DD, and a cool wake-up clock indicator thing made in Europe. $13 total, not bad.

We have two in the area. One is nice, organized, and clean. The other is a disaster. They don't even know what is on clearance there until you bring it to the register because they can't find the stuff to mark it! Total train wreck.

thanks OP & PPs. the 50% clearance sale ends tomorrow (Sunday) rather than Saturday. They open at noon. :)

i carefully wrote down a list of the various things you'd found, looked up a few that i hadn't heard of, and promptly forgot it on the table when i ventured out without the kids.

i picked up and/or saw these that i don't think were mentioned with prices.

d rex - $35
alex stove top - 12.50
Alex Toys in My Kitchen Set - 17.50
Dizzy Quad Merry-Go-Round - $35 (huge discount but i left this, my 5 year old has vertigo at times)
RiverRidge chairs for activity tables $5 w/ fabric bin, i got 3 melamine orgaziner carousels for $2 each. these were all on a top shelf in non-descript boxes
hobbiest metal detector $35 (okay, really for me)
a wooden easel (for me :) $4
alex lemonade stand - $22 (list price $140)
there are coffee tables and occassional tables there are nice prices too if you happen to like what they have when you're there.

etc. etc. etc.

it was fun! i can't believe that i really could easily stop looking now and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. (but i LOVE to look!...online first that is)
