A&A blankets lost softness?

We have been using them for about 3 months. They are the regular version, not the target version. Now when they come out of the dryer they feel a little scratchy, like a towel that's been line dried. Not soft like when I first had them.

I tried running them through without any detergent thinking there was build up, but it didn't make any difference. Any ideas??

did you wash or dry them on the sanitize cycle? super hot water can damage the cotton fibers. I ruined cotton diapers using the sanitize cycle. :52:
