View Full Version : What's a good $40-50 girl first birthday gift?

Our very generous friends gave us a very expensive birthday gift for our baby boy...I'm not trying to outdo them or even match them, but the $15 Leapfrog bus I was going to give seems kind of cheap in comparison. I'd like to spend $40-50. Any suggestions? It's for the youngest of two girls.

Do they have a wheely bug? Those are super cute and fun.

Zany zoo. http://www.target.com/p/B-Toys-Zany-Zoo-Wooden-Activity-Cube/-/A-12025312

Or a rainbow of play silks. http://www.etsy.com/listing/68586695/rainbow-playsilks-6pk-22x22-play-silks?ref=sr_gallery_3&ga_includes%5B0%5D=tags&ga_search_query=play+silks&ga_search_type=all&ga_facet=. (not endorsing that seller or that it is a good price, just wanted to give a quick example)

The LeapFrog musical table. DD LOVED hers.

It comes in pink too, if you want to go girly.

These are great ideas! If I don't get them for the little girl, they are perfect for the holidays, too. Love that zoo.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the recs. I ended up getting TWO zoo cubes (had to snag one for my own kid!) at Target. Great price and great quality!
