ISO a new one. Mine just 'jumped' from the shelf. A removeable liner is essential as well as a timer feature. I try to use it at least 1X a week.

I ended up just buying a new insert for $15 + s/h. I felt it was the green thing to do although I would love a new one (I admit I have a kitchen gadget addiction.)

Just saw your update, but thought I'd post that after Thanksgiving, Sam's will have a prorammable crock pot for $16.98.

Yeah for being green. Anyway you might have to adjust your recipes if you got a whole new crockpot and now you don't have to worry about that!

saw the hamilton slow cooker at Walmart for 15 - a 5 qt- I think. Also saw a 7 qt for 19.88- crock pot brand.
