Not to detract from the fact that it's Veteran's Day, it's also my nephew Gavin's 2nd birthday ... and, on VH1 Classic, it's National Metal Day.

Lol, I had a friend who was hoping her baby would arrive on 11/11/11, BUT she got the next best thing, her son was born 11/1/11. :) Her husband (a physician) did her homebirth for her and said that technically he could put down whatever day that he wants on the birth paperwork, but she felt that it was wrong to mess with the universe.

apparently there were 3x the number of marriage lisenses yesterday in vegas-lots of people trying to get married today!
