I'd like to find a warm winter coat that gives full bottom coverage (so hits mid-thigh). Brown would be my preferred color, though I'm also open to purple or teal.

Any suggestions?

I feel I've seen them all over. Lands End, Garnet Hill, Athleta, Nordstrom. If you try Zappos you can search by color. :)

I just saw some nice coats on Lands End. Several of their coats come in full length.

Are you looking for down, wool, fleece? I have a down one from Lands End that goes to my knee. I also have wool coats that are knee length.

I found a great Anne Klein coat at Marshall's a couple of years ago. They had a lot to choose from when I found it. The Anne Klein store seems to have a few on sale. This one might work for you. Double Breasted wool coat in camel or black (http://www.anneklein.com/Double-Breasted-Wool-Walker/90637584,default,pd.html?variantSizeClass=&variantColor=CAMELWL&cgid=90274913&prefn1=catalog-id&prefv1=anneklein-catalog)
This one (http://www.anneklein.com/Belted-Wool-Coat/90637557,default,pd.html?variantSizeClass=&variantColor=PURPLWL&cgid=90330700&prefn1=catalog-id&prefv1=anneklein-catalog) and this one (http://www.anneklein.com/Belted-Coat-with-Pockets/90638848,default,pd.html?variantSizeClass=&variantColor=PURPLWL&cgid=90330700&prefn1=catalog-id&prefv1=anneklein-catalog) are purple but might be too short for what you requested.

Lands end luxe coat in spice brown. I just got it and it looks nice on. Hits above my knees.

I want to buy this for my sis. Did you get a small or xs? LE runs so big!

North Face and Patagonia have several styles that would work, but I don't think you will be able to beat the price and warmth of the coat A mentioned above.

I got the small even though I am a 2-4 because I like room for thick sweaters. I got it for about $110! It's replacing my Andrew Marc parka which was nowhere near as functional. Love the big hood, belt and pockets.

Oh, that coat looks really nice! I'm 5'4 and 120ish lbs - would you recommend the XS or Sm?

I'm 5'6" and 117 pounds. I prefer size S coats in Lands End. Can your order both the XS and S and return the one you don't like at Sears? I personally find the XS too tight in the chest and the sleeves seem tight as well. I am the long and lean type.

How did you get it for $110? It's coming up as $143 for me (which is still a great price).

I used the 40% off one item promo that was available a couple of weeks ago. :)
