i could really use a couple, mostly for church. for work i wear lots of skirts with shirts and sweaters, but those are not great for nursing. i have some tops from Milk but they are too big (XS). any other good options?

I love using undercover mama (http://undercovermama.com/nursing-clothes) tanks and wearing normal tops. They have clips or loops that attach to your nursing bra so you only have to undo one thing when you get ready to nurse. I would wait until tomorrow to shop because they posted this on facebook:

Announcing our YEAR END CLEARANCE coming up this Monday morning. Tune in-you won't want to miss it!

If you don't wear a bra then you may like to check out lilac/sulee (http://lilacclothing.com/category_25/fall-winter-2011-new.htm) clothing. They feature a lot of crossover tops that are great for nursing.

Since I pump at work in a shared office, I wear nursing tanks and cardigans nearly every day. Thanks to mamas on this board, I have a lot of Glamourmom tanks in various colors which are long and fitted. They go perfectly under cardigans (mostly BR and Loft) and would pair nicely with skirts for church. I'm petite, but more endowed, esp with BFing and the small fits me well. You can probably order the XS tanks in different colors and not have to spend a lot on true nursing clothes.

hmm....so this may sound weird...but if i wear one of those tanks with a cardigan over it. when i am nursing, i have to unhook the tank at the top, so i'm pretty exposed, right? i usually wear soft knit shirts, like a sweater or turtle neck, and then just pull it up to nurse. i dont' use nursing bras...just a regular bra with a soft cup, which is easy to pull to the side.
