question about duplo building plates.

i just bought some and i was thinking about glueing them to a table is this a good idea or do kids move them around?

You certainly can. I have seen duplo and lego tables so someone must like or use them. And, fwiw, nearly all the building that is done at our house begins with a plate. But, I wouldn't do it.

We have building plates for both Duplo and Lego Primo (discontinued) and I would say the bulding plates at our house, which are just free floating and not glued to a table, get way more attention than the lego table at our good friends' house. Now, maybe their son uses it more during solo play, but when all together the kids usually take the legos off the table and use them on the floor/bed vs. stand or sit at the table to build. Same at our house but they can just put the plates on the floor to build on.
