Good photo editing computer program?

I am really into taking pics and printing etc. but I have been editing and store in snapfish. I would really like something with a little more to it any suggestions?

I use Microsoft Digital Image Pro. It's easy and does all I want it to. I have Photoshop Elements as well and can't stand it when compared to Digital Image Pro.
