I want to get DD something that she can store her artwork in. She currently stacks it or tapes it up all over the house. I was looking at some of the art portfolios with the accordian style slots, but wonder how well they'll hold up. She's 5.5 now and I'd like something that she would continue to use in a few years, so durable and not too kid-looking.

I was thinking of these:
1. with her name on it: http://www.toystogrowon.com/sku649P
2. http://www.hearthsong.com/My-Art-Place-Portfolio_p2171.html

I'm open to other ideas if you have one that you love!

like these ideas.

We currently use an accordian file for each of the boys as thier "keeper". It goes in the keeper or in the recycle bin. Unfortunately thier keepers are still stuffed FULL. I do pull pieces I want to keep and display them or put them in some USPS priority mail boxes that I use to file thier art/papers/keepsakes by grade.

ETA- we have these little divinci frames that I love if you are looking for display ideas as well: http://www.hearthsong.com/Lil%27-Davinci-Store-%26-Display-Art-Cabinet-Frame_p3652.html?utm_source=GRP&utm_medium=Recommendation&utm_campaign=Cross-sell

ETA again- amazon has this one for $13.99:

I use one of the larger rubbermaid storage containers with a locking lid. I like that 3-dimensional pieces don't get crushed and I buy the ones that are clear and you can see into the container. You could paint (pen?) her name on the lid if you wanted to personalize it a bit.

I forgot about this!

Thanks for the ideas. I like those frames a lot. I'll put those on my list :).

I don't think she'd like a Rubbermaid bin. I use that for things I keep, but she mostly draws and paints and then goes through them to gift them when she wants too. Right now, they're stacked in her room and the ones she likes to look at are in a small 3-ring binder (her idea).
