View Full Version : Thomas Wooden Railway trains compatible with IKEA?

I thought I read that this was the case, but I want to be absolutely sure before I plan a 2 hour one way drive to buy the train sets. Specifically this (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30064359/) set with this (http://www.amazon.com/Thomas-Friends-Wooden-Railway-Engine/dp/B00000JHX6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_npd?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1U0ALCWFCBPW6&colid=2HWR9FPHLO7J4) line of trains. Great question - I want to know too! Although IKEA is 20 minutes away from me, it's still a crazy production to go there.

They are compatible but the bigger trains might not go under the bridge. My DS1 get really frustrated with that.

Are the Wooden Railway trains the bigger ones? I'm sorry to be so ignorant, but these will be our first Thomas trains and I want DS to love it. Thanks!
