Kids and i are making a list, as DH has a b-day 10 days before Christmas.... so far, we have the basics, like:
a new shirt and Tie for work (boooo-ring!!!)
NICE flip flops, leather ones, even leather thong between the toes, his request. .... any brand suggestions?? so far Emu is the only thing I've found that fits the bill!!
a nice bike seat
a leather journal and nice pen
silver bracelet?/ still haven't found the one that screams, "I'm the one!!" (the bracelet, that is... the hubby IS the one :love2:)
a wool half zip black sweater to replace the one he's worn to pcs.
maybe a book, but he doesn't like to read much...
he really wants a powerwasher, but the one he wants we have to save up for LOL!!

other suggestions??????

DH wants new long sleeve shirts - he's desk has a rough spot at the edge and he's ripped several sleeves. I've repaired as much as I can. I have since stuck felt to his desk to stop it from happening again.

He wants tai-chi lessons, so I need to find someplace around here that does that.

We've got a expensive trip to see family for the holidays, so we're not spending much in way of gifts.

Pretty boring list here. He has 6 or 7 CDs on it and 3 books.

Thanks for mentioning bike seat. I'm going to get him one as he got a bike and complains about the seat. Perfect.

I am considering a tablet for him. Not sure though.

The kids got this print on a zipper hoodie, for my husband:

T insisted on paying for 1/2 and I paid for the other half.

My husband has these flip flops. We bought them while we were on vacation when his "cheap" flip flops broke. He LOVES these.

DH asked for the following:

University of Oregon tie from the Duck Store
Massage
Running Shoes
New Charles Frazier book
new pr of cords/pants
Of Mice and Men on DVD (he teaches HS english)

I also got him a bathrobe- he's never owned one since we've been married 11.5 yrs.

My mom usually gets DH a subscription to Newsweek- so magazine subscription might be good as well.

The most popular "nice" flip flops are probably Reefs: http://www.zappos.com/reef-fanning-brown-gum

DH wants a breadmaker and a ski pass.

I got DH an ipad, an ipad defender case, flannel robe from Lands End and knee high work socks from Lands End (which he loves and are hard to find).

DH would like a chainsaw. We've had so many trees knocked down by storms in the past year and he doesn't want to borrow from the neighbors any more.

ETA: Also getting DH some music that he wants.

I third the Olukai! DH and I both have a pair and they are awesome. Pricey but amazing.

DH doesn't really have a list as he is REALLY hard to shop for since he shops often for himself and is picky on clothes. *I* don't even buy DH clothes.

I bought him a Kindle touch. He didn't ask for one but he reads a ton and is always on the computer so I figured I'd try it. If not, I'll take it! ;) I'm going to preload it with some books.

My DH loves these art prints colorandfire.com (http://colorandfire.com/#) they are awesome! There is a Christmas sale right now--buy 1 print get a smaller print free :) Very good for the hard to buy people in your life. I plan to get him at least one, maybe several for an arrangement on a wall in our bedroom or living room.

We have Sennheiser headphones. They are AMAZING. Love them. We use them for the computer, the iPad and the Yakima electric piano (BEST thing ever for a new player to practice with and for my husband to play later at night (so as to not bother the neighbors).

I just asked my husband and I guess I'm the odd woman out. He's saying video games and other misc electronics. :)

I'm quoting him now:
"And if the person wears ties, not a tie. One exception for ties, if they want to go top notch and get a 7 fold silk tie. Maybe a real nice dress shirt or a nice belt, nice watch. (Can you tell my dh is into his appearance for work?! :D )Briefcases, messenger bags. Instead of a speaker system, a sound bar if they are into their TV's."

Now DH is now pointing out his socks to me, modeling them.:rotflmao: They are "ovadafut"? Ugh, he had me google: http://vknagrani.com/ They are really great socks, blah blah, blah, they stay up all day and after multiple washings they are as good as new still." OMG, I think I'm just going looney here.:hysterical:

Or hire a crew to do spring/fall clean up for yard work. But, he says, he wouldn't pay for that or want me to pay for that. :)

Good luck!

All DH has asked for is the Star Wars Blu-Rays, which have been sitting in my closet since the day they came out. :bag

New LL Bean "Wicked Good" slippers.

(We love these, BTW, because of Bean's "lifetime guarantee" - they will replace worn-out items FOR FREE even after years of use. It's true. DH just replaced a pair of 3 or 4 yr old slippers at the "local" Bean store.)

He just had his birthday though, so I'm still plotting his Christmas. (And he's prone to lurking, so I'm not going to be revealing any of the things I buy him.)

Mine too! And mine is wearing freebie flip-flops my company gave out at a party. And we live in Florida (aka Flip-Flop Land.)

We both are in dire need of new workout clothes. I think our gift to each other will be to go crazy at the Nike outlet or Target together. We've both been wearing the same things for years and it's at the point where they smell even after being washed.

Those $100 flip flops will last years! He had a leather ones from llbean and they broke in a few months while on vacation. That's when he bought the olukai. He said they give so much more support and feel like a shoe. He is going on four years with those!

What a character! Will your husband rub off some of that style on mine? He is still wearing 10 year old jeans and says he "can't imagine" spending more than $30 on any single item of clothing.

This is a little thing that would be a good stocking stuffer but it won't fit in most stockings. I got it for DH last year and we both love it - a battery organizer!

you guys are kiiiiillllling me, I am ooogling over the olukais, especially with yoru rave reviews, but DH has informed me that he doesn't want to stress over money... so not to get him anything. yeah. right. you say that every year, this year i am NOT listening to you LOL!!! i couldn't do it though, 100 bucks for flip flops would haunt me!! I went with LL beans, knowing they will replaces them any time!!! :) free shipping, 10% off, and a free 10 gift card makes it a great deal!!
:) now to complete my "i'm doing it anyway" shopping for his birthday and christmas.... without him knowing about it LOL!!

Oh, my dh only dresses up for work. He'll happily buy his weekend wear at goodwill and not even worry about the fit. :) I can't understand him!
