well the cats caught a hummingbird and trapped it behind the bed. When I heard the ruckus and looked behind the bed, I couldn't believe how dusty it was back there. The headboard can't quite fit flush against the wall b/c we're using the outlets, but there isn't enough space between the wall and hb to fit my 'nook/crany' extension (what is that called? ) from my vacuum. Even the broom handle is too wide to fit back there. Any suggestions?

Possibly a swiffer duster with an extender handle? Other than that, just moving it and giving a thorough once over every once in a while. Mine is nearly flush with the wall, and yet dust still gets trapped there.

(This reminds me of when my 4-y-o alerted me to a bit of dust behind the refrigerator. I nearly passed out when I saw what was hiding behind the refrigerator.)

I ended up getting this, the handle is super narrow and the duster part is flexible, so it can squeeze back there. I only got to try it for a couple minutes, can't wait to tackle it back there!

I've seen something similar at the Dollar Tree. Probably not great quality, but it might work for just pushing the dust bunnies out of hiding and into vacuuming range!
