View Full Version : Help me find a new bag...

Last winter, in a spur-of-the-moment decision, I purchased a Franco Sarto bag. It was the shape that I liked, had internal organization, and it was green! So what if it wasn't leather; I'm not a snob, I told myself. The bag was inexpensive ($30 or so), but it didn't even last a year; in my mind, that makes it a terrible waste of money. I threw it out, started looking for a new one, and realized that I can't find anything that fits my criteria (which I thought were quite modest). I'm officially bag-less, so I'd be grateful for any leads. So here goes:

- Real leather this time (nice and soft). Leather straps, too (NOT fabric)
- Medium size
- Long cross-body strap (not compromising on this one)
- Lots of internal organization
- I'm looking for a particular shape, not sure what to call it other than a vertical rectangle. It's not really messenger-style, more like this one:

- It doesn't have to be a known brand name; it doesn't have to be black or brown (in fact, I'd prefer some color). Ideally, I'd like to keep it under $200.

I've got a small purse from Coach that fits most of the description - except it's small (and an older model - all new ones seem to have fabric straps now?)

Thanks!!

How about a Fossil cross-body? http://www.zappos.com/fossil-modern-cargo-organizer-blue-grey

What about the bag you linked? I love that brand (Osgoode Marley) for organizer bags.

Here's the same bag (also available in red), and a few others at Shoebuy.com (the current code, SHOP20 for 20% off, would apply):

Hehe... I *love* Fossil; I have a similar small one, too (although mine is more military-style, with a front pocket, and no flap). This looks great; I wonder if it's big enough (but with zappos, I can always return it, right?)

REally? I've never heard of the brand before, and the leather seemed a bit on the rough side, and the style a little more dowdy than I would like. Plus, if I remember correctly, reviews said that it's hard to get in and out of? I'll check reviews on shoebuy as well. Thanks!

Pretty cool. I like the vintage-y leather feel.

I bought mine (4 years ago, a now discontinued style) from eBags...it's a great site, with multiple images of items, and lots of reviews. I'd definitely check there, too.
