GeoTrax...Cars/Cars2 sets compatible with train sets?

We have the Timbertown railway already, and I am wondering if the Cars/Cars2 sets are compatible? I read a review that said they were not. I'm not sure I want to start another geotrax collection of just Cars stuff, when we already have one of the train sets.

Anyone know?

We have a cars set and the track is the same size but they need to have the raise thing in the middle for the gear to run on. We don't have a GeoTrax train, but I noticed when I was trying to buy more track for the cars set that some track has the raise section in the middle and some doesn't.

Thank you for the pics! My set has the raised middle part, so I think it will work with the Cars sets. Awesome!
