random q: have you built from a lego set?

how many of you here have built a lego set up from scratch?

um, not that any of us have the time to do this! but im just wondering!

i have not. but it sounds kind of like fun...

I totally love building with Legos. We only have a small stash (like 400-500 or so). My specialty is brick homes :D

Um, I built Borgin and Burke's from the Harry Potter Lego set, Diagon Alley. It's one of the bigger sets and I built that building with very little help from Gator. Once I got started he stopped but I couldn't stop myself. :loveeyes:

All the time. DS will often choose two sets and have me build one while he builds the other. We just finished our winter scene. I built the post office and he built the bakery and toy store.

All the time. I buy sets for myself! I tell DH that if I end up in a nursing home--just send me with my Lego.

Lots andlots, but none recently. As a single gal I used to get Lego sets for myself off ebay

I love to build Legos!! I have a few sets of my own but I really love to just build from scratch. My favorite was a haunted house I built last Halloween, it came out really cool!!

I do with the kids (helping etc). I would -- maybe when they get a little older -- LOVE the haunted house! I'd love to do a some of the holiday street scenes.

When we get the themed set we put them together almost immediately.

When ds1 was little (4-5yo) we used to build almost all the sets he got, he would sort the pieces for us. As he has gotten older he doesn't want so much help but we still help sometimes. :) I have bought myself small sets to build and I have built plenty of creations from scratch. I would love to get Diagon Alley sometime just for me!!

At a party last year we had a Lego building contest for the grown ups. I bought a set and 2 people faced off to build the fastest. It was a blast!

I build with DD1, but we have a basic set of duplos...so I'm limited. But I'm usually in charge of the tree house w/attached garage (and tree)......but it's been getting harder since DD2 is in the "godzilla" phase right now!

My mom kept all of our lego sets......castle, pirate ship, robin hood/sherwood forest set and a few more I can't remember..........I can't wait 'till DD1 is old enough to build with me!
