My DS for fun is going to take a workshop class in February and I was thinking to buy him this set from Mindware

it has good reviews but I am not sure if even with the replacement wood set it is good set or not.
Wondering if anyone has it or can recommend something similar that he can use and enjoy maybe a bit longer?
He loves to work with wood.
BTW DS1 is 11 and very responsible so if you can think of another set that would give him longer enjoyment I would appreciate it.
