I made this for guests last night and it was sooo good--I thought I'd share. I looked at some recipes and kind of made one up. I don't put hard liquor in my sangria because I am a total lightweight and I like to be able to drink a couple of glasses ;)
Here's what I did:
Made simple syrup by heating 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water until the sugar dissolves. Cool to room temp. Pour into pitcher. Add about 10 frozen peach slices. Wait for them to thaw. Add one bottle of white wine (I used barefoot contessa Pinot griggio). Refrigerate until ready to serve, at least a couple of hours. Add 1/2 of a bottle of Trade Joes sparkling lemonade. Serve immediately.
