I stupidly ordered something before leaving for vacation. I thought it would arrive via mail, and I had the mail held, but it was sent via UPS. No package at the door when I got home. I'm checking w/neighbors to see if anyone picked it up, but if not, what should I do? Contact the company or UPS?

contact the company you bought it from. they should have a policy in place for handling issues like this.

If you contact UPS you could have trouble getting deliveries in the future without signing for the item.

Ah, thank you, good advice. I have an email out to the company now.

Do you have the tracking number? How long has it been since you expected the package to arrive? AFAIK, if the package requires a signature, UPS will try to deliver it 3x before sending it back to the shipper. So if you've been away too long, it may have been shipped back and not stolen. Either way, you should contact the shipper as roobee suggested. My sister had a package stolen from her once and UPS told her to contact the shipper as they are the ones that need to file the complaint.

Good luck.
