Educate me: WHAT IS BLADE BLADE?

My 6 yo DD put "blade blade" on her wish list, and just can't explain well enough to me. anyone know? if so, where do i get them? thanks.

:yeahthat: Beyblades are fun! You really need a least two tops and a stadium to get started. There are starter sets for sale several places right now. I think the age range on them say 8 and up or something like that, but kids 4 and up play with them around here. They are a huge thing at DS's school.

Target, Toys R Us, Walmart .... everybody's got them! Costco had an awesome set with the stadium and 4 beys and a grip launcher thing for $39.99. Not sure if it's still in stock in your local store if you're a member but it might be worth looking for!

Yup, BeyBlade. They are extremely popular with the second grade set right now where I am. They're on Amazon too.

Try Target they had a set for around $27 or $28 a while back. I bought a two pack of Beyblades on Black Friday at Target for $10. That Amazon price is kind of crazy.

That is way too much. Buy them at TRU - we got these last year. We bought a 3 pack for $20-25 (?) and then got a free stadium. Try not to pay for the stadium. It's just a cheapy blow molded part.

Costco was selling a starter set that was a good deal. Try to grab that if your store has any left in stock.

Here is a good starter set. We bought this set from Target when DS asked for Beyblades last year.

I've ordered from Hasbro in the past. IIRC the shipping was kind of slow but if you order now you should get by Christmas. I used a code I found online. But I would check Target first because they might even have it on sale this time of year.

Well, went to Costco during lunch and got a set for $39.99. It came with 4 of the ball looking thing with a stadium.....I'm gonna look around when I get some free time. Figure I can always return it if I find something cheaper. thanks everyone!

Ball looking things? Are you sure you didn't get Bakugan? Those are balls and a stadium.

Your post made me laugh! Over summer, my son kept saying he wanted me to get him "bey balays"---at least that's what I thought he was saying. So funny when we saw them at the store and I realized he was saying Beyblades!!

the costco set is a good deal! Comes with a lot of extras! I think the set retails for over 50 bucks elsewhere.

I believe this is the same set that costco has right? looks like it has gone up in price on Amazon in the last week or so!

Somthing like the max one.....it's still sitting in my trunk covered with my jacket. Had to pick up DD from school today...hasn't had a chance to look the packaging yet...it's a huge box though...lots of wrapping paper....
