I really want to get a special Teddy for DD. Not looking to spend Steiff type dollars. 12-16" tall, not one of the little ones. They are so hard to find! I am tempted to order on from Vermont Teddy Bears but I was looking for something a little less expensive and maybe, I don't know...different.

Any ideas??????? I have Googled until I can google no more.

What about Zylie? I'm not sure how much a Steiff is. There was just a coupon code out. I"ll see if I can find it. I think it brings the price down to about $35.

ETA: Coupon code is HOLIDAYCHEER for a total of $37.09 shipped.

Steiff is pricey for a number of reasons, not the least of which is reputation.

That said, I still have my Steiff bear from my First Christmas 33 years ago and, while he's a bit worse for wear at his leg-joint, he's in otherwise perfect condition.

I had a tiny Steiff growing up, too. It is not the quality to price ratio that prohibits a Steiff, it is my budget.
