I'd sniff and smell, but probably toss. I tried some canned peaches that had expired once a few months earlier and they were nasty. Food expires for a reason IMHO.

Ok ended up tossing it. I really have to watch not to over-buy at Costco. There was no need for 2 giant containers of Picante sauce! Thanks for the advice!
