I posted in the old forum about this, but wanted to do a little update, b/c now they are on sale for even less- $20! The downside is that they are backordered, but it still might be worth taking a chance on.

WOW! I might have to talk DH into getting DS's birthday present (July) a bit early! Thanks for the update!

I had DH call, and they said that they aren't scheduled to arrive until the 30th, so I doubt this will work for Christmas. I'm kicking myself for not ordering it earlier, b/c I know it would have been a huge hit, and I can't find any others that are anywhere near close in price. Maybe the Easter Bunny will bring it instead.

Actually, it looks like Rural King also has them- $25 there, but $12 shipping kind of kills it, unless you live near a store.

THANK YOU!! This is just what my dad wants for when the grandkids visit them at the cabin! I ordered two for free shipping. They will be visiting me for xmas, so ok if it gets there afterwards.

I'd only found them on commercial playground equimpment sites before, for big bucks. This is such a deal and exactly what he's been asking for!

:yay:

OMG, my DS would LOOOVE this. he is really into diggers from all his books...we will be driving and i will be like "look, DS, a digger!" and he will say " That's an EXCAVATOR." LOL.

DS's birthday is 2 weeks after christmas, so it may work...

the only prob is, we don't have wood chips or anything in the backyard..just grass, so he couldn't really "dig" anything....

Good! So glad it helped someone!

Ms. P- could you put a little sandbox or something out there?
