Playmobil airplane or similar for almost 3 yo?

DD who is 2.75 y.o. wants an airplane for Christmas. I really have no idea what she is thinking of... for all I know she wants one like we take to Grandma's house! There is a Playmobil one but the reviews are not great... most mention it falling apart easily and my DD is rough on toys. There is also this airport adventure set: http://www.toystogrowon.com/sku438 but I can't find reviews on it anywhere. The other airplanes I see look either too babyish or too grown-up. Any ideas?

I am interested in this Richard Scarry game that looks fun and is in the right age range, but I don't have it so can't say more than the amazon reviews.

we have that one and it has survived Nathan ( think he was 3) and now Jack. The wings pop off but I pop them back on. I think one engine is somewhere in the bottom of the toy box but over all "we" have loved it. Holds lots of people its pretty big actually.
