Our floor lamps seem to fall apart (purchased from home depot - not the best ones, for sure). Where can I find contemporary, quality, stylish yet decently priced ones? I am willing to spend for quality but not an excessive amount. Any ideas?

I have several from Ikea that I am actually really happy with--really well priced for the quality. I think you'd need to look at them in person, because there were definitely some there that looked/felt "cheap" (and weren't necessarily less expensive than the ones I picked). I have another floor lamp from Pottery Barn that is also really nice, but was quite a bit pricier than the Ikea ones.

Some home magazine recommended JCPenney as a great place to buy budget lamps.
