unrefridgerated! Dumb! Dumb! Dumb! They were in a brown paper bag in a cool area of the house; avg temp 50ish. (We don't use our furnace yet.) I checked them over and they are still firm. No leaking. I pop'd 'em in the fridge. Would you still use them? I need them to last til the week before Xmas. Dumb@$$ Mommy!

Yes, I'd use them. They wouldn't be refrigerated at the grocery store, right?

I doubt they are ruined. I realized that I left a bag in the pantry for several weeks. No leaking or squishy ones and when I go to use them I'll just put them in a bowl and any that float I'll still use... They are going to be cooked so....

Use them. Maybe check every once in a while to a make sure they are still firm.

What are you using them for? If they're going to be cooked, could you just freeze them til needed?

Well, they were next to the sour cream and cream cheese, so sort of refrigerated. Those open shelves...

36 loaves of cranberry bread, so yes, cooked. Can I freeze them even after leaving them out? Maybe it was more like 60 degrees here. I don't remember. At night it's in the low 40s. And my house stays very cool.

That's a great idea! I can totally do that! I think it may have helped that the plastic bags have lots of holes in them for ventilation and they were sitting in a brown paper bag, not a plastic one. I'm hoping at least...

Oh, they're fine. At my grocery store they have the cranberry bags stacked next to the apples, out in the middle of the produce department. Definitely not refrigerated.

I have 2 bags in the freezer now for cranberry muffins sometime next year. I've even baked with them months after they were in the freezer...you're good.
