Our parish priest (Catholic Church) has asked me to teach a Theology of the Body for Teens program to the 7th and 8th grade middle school religious ed class. I am fairly comfortable with the actual program and its materials, which is a 8 week interactive class that utilizes DVD clips, lectures, small group projects, ice breakers, Q and A, etc and basically teaches answers to questions such as
Who am I?
Are there consequences to my actions?
What is the difference between love and lust?
How do I balance family, friends, school, God, music, TV, internet, texting, etc., in my daily life?
How can I discern my vocation to marriage, priesthood, or religious life?
How do I deal with bullying, gossip, peer pressure, pornography, divorce, etc?
Can I live my Catholic faith no matter how I messed up in the past?

It is NOT sex ed, or anatomy or health class. I have ABSOLUTELY NO experience with this age group. I do work part time as an OBGYN PA and have a large teen patient population, but most are at least in High School, which is a world of difference. My oldest (I have 6 of my own) is only 8, so quite a ways from middle school! I am looking for some advice/tips/things I should know when dealing with this age group. Any suggestions?

TIA
J
