Thought I'd start this since there seems to be some deals starting to pop up and I didn't want them lost in all the different threads.

Haba Orchard game $25.64 (2+) (it's been at $36 for weeks and the lowest it's ever been is $25, which was last January) There seems to be tax for CA residents though. :(
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ELORPY

Lauri Toys Number Play $8.99 (3+, but I'd say 2+) (lowest ever according to CCC)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006NE3EK

ThinkFun Snack Attack game (4+) $7.69
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004INGVIK

Scrabble Diamond Anniversary Edition $19.99 (8+) (Hasn't been any lower since 2008 says CCC. It's was over $30 at Target the other day and is $26.59 at TRU right now.)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013WLX3M

Beyblade Metal Fusion Battle Tops - Inferno Saggitario (8+, but I'd say 5+) $4.89 (great price for a Beyblade. They are normally $8.99 each + tax)

Blokus always seems to get good reviews around here. Both regular Blokus and Blokus Jr. are rated for ages 5 and up, though. What makes them different, and would it be better to go with the Blokus Classics version for the sake of longevity?

I'd go with the regular Blokus. We got it when DS1 was 5 and he was able to play just fine. I don't think they even had a Jr. version back then. With regular Blokus you can play with up to 4 people and you really need 3-4 people to play the best game or else you can end up with no winner. The Jr. version is limited to 2 players only. Do you normally play games with just 2 people or more? If more, go with the regular Blokus, if just 2 then go with Blokus Duo which is a scaled down version of the regular Blokus for two players: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001P06GZM We have both regular Blokus and Blokus Duo.

OK, after posting I decided to get them for DD (I'm very susceptible to the power of suggestion!) Just FYI, I got two, but this is for a 113 piece set, there's an 85 piece set on Amazon that's selling for just over $23! So many more pieces for a lot less $$.

Oh, and the recommended age is 36mos-15 years.

ETA: One last thing, they qualify for Amazon Mom. :)

Not that it really matters but does anyone know if the target set for $15 has the same pieces as this one? I know both sets have 68 pieces but I'm wondering if there is a difference. Also, looking for a good price on the spinaroos set that goes with this. cheapest I see is Amazon for 35.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/4109PoEMuNL._AA115_.jpg (http://www.amazon.com/Make-Do-Find-Car/dp/B003XNTQW4) http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51URpu5jwNL._AA115_.jpg (http://www.amazon.com/Make-Do-Find-Playhouse/dp/B003XNTQWE)

BTW, you are purchasing just the connectors, a safe-saw, plus instructions. You have to provide the cardboard boxes, paper plates, etc. If you compare the contents of these "find&make" kits with the "freeplay" ones, these are a much better deal. There is a blog (http://mymakedo.com/blog) and a photo gallery (http://mymakedo.com/creations) on the MakeDo website if you want more creative ideas, some of which look amazing.

This Fisher Price toy, Hideaway Hollow Candice's Candy Shop is on sale for 9.99. It seems to hover around $20. I am not familiar with it, it looks cute. Ages 3+ It says only 3 left, so hurry (maybe good for toys for tots?)

Just an FYI, toys for tots is wrapping up or has wrapped up most drop off locations in my area anyway.

We did some shopping earlier this week and I ran in last night to TRU to pick up a teen gift after reading there was a shortage on those. THey were picking up the boxes last night when I was there, so I raced in and raced back out to give it to them.

Just pointing that out because we missed it one or two years since it concluded earlier than I realized!

Just double check the website for drop offs in your area and/or email to see when they conclude in your area. The volunteer I emailed yesterday let me know they were doing a "big shop" at TRU last night and if I could be there by 6:30 pm, I could still get my (teen) donation to them.

Just be aware that when I say it is huge, I mean it is HUGE. The sun alone is bigger than a beachball and about 2' across.

Here is a picture of the sun compared to a Magnatile so you can get an idea of scale.

Jo, I just love how you showed the scale using a Magnatile. It's just so BBB. :ROTFLMAO:

Oh wow, I think I'm going to jump on this one! We had a trampoline for DS1 but he ended up cutting holes in it with scissors!!! I think I'll have this be DS2's big gift and save the mini kick scooter (that I also got for a great deal) for his 3rd birthday in May.

According to the reviews though, it sounds like a B*tch to assemble-- 2 1/2 hours or more!!!

Wow, much bigger than I was imagining! Still, I bet she would have fun with them, maybe they could be pets for baby dolls or princesses!

Am I the only one that is filling up my Amazon cart and trying to decide what to hit the yes button on? So far I've got about $200 sitting in my shopping cart..... I don't need any of this stuff for Christmas this year but am always tempted by a good deal.....

The animals are a ton of fun. Highly recommend.

My cart is stuffed as well. Trying to decide what to pull the trigger on.

So I contacted Amazon to see if I could get a price adjustment on the solar system. It's not much but I was considering buying on for my nephew as well and it would make it better. Anyway, I did online chat and asked for a one-time adjustment and was told Amazon never does. I have heard this before but told him I have received adjustments in the past so clearly it's not "never". He said he could only offer me a $5 promotional credit. :6: I tried to explain I just wanted $3 but he said that was all he could do for me. Anyway, just wanted to share in case anyone else was trying to get the reduced price!

I'm sooo going to get in trouble for buying this !!

I bought ours on Amazon for $30 or $35 back when my now-8-year old was 2 1/2 and I haven't seen it anywhere near that cheap since. He has LOVED it for all these years and so has DS2 and all their friends who come over. We are now converting part of their playroom to a office so I needed to get rid of the trampoline. It was still in great shape so I listed it along with a used play tent tunnel for $40 together. It sold right away and I had about 6-7 emails on it, with some very disappointed that it had already sold.

So you can tell this to your DH when he's struggling to put it together. Because that is definitely the worst part--DH and my brother worked together and it seemed to go better with two strong men working on it. But they still said that it was really hard. But given all the years of fun it can provide and the good CL resale, I'd say that you made a great decision buying it. :)

Me, too! There are some good deals, but nothing that I really wanted or needed. I may pull the trigger on a few things for the gift closet, but I'm walking away for a bit to think about it.

That's what I did last year, but then when things went back to the original price and I missed out on them, I was kinda kicking myself for not jumping on the deal (the one I really regret missing was the Aquadoodle deal last Dec., all of my girls friends love playing with it, as do my girls, it would have been great for the gift closet!).

Off to wrap Christmas presents, I'll re-evaluate my cart in a bit :)

No, I'm not going to give you $3 back, I'm going to give you $5 back. Wow, Amazon, you drive a hard bargain!

FWIW I did try to get an adjustment on an item last week (about $60 difference) and was told no, I had to order another one at the lower price and return the more expensive one.

My sister tried to get a price adjustment on the spy watch. She paid 3x the price it is now and they said no. The best they would do was to send a free return shipping label so she could return the one she previously bought, and then buy the newly priced toy.

DD really likes these, but amazon is crazy with the MSRP. Most sites sell for 5-6 bucks. Of course, you usually end up paying something to ship. But the MSRP is definitely jacked up in this case (they do this every year on this item it seems). It really is a nice set though for the price, as long as you are aware their listed full retail price is ridiculous.

I hate this policy. It seems so wasteful to ship things back and forth. I requested 2 price adjustments in the last couple of days. They gave me the one for $3 but for the $60 one I had to return and rebuy (it was a $200 item). I guess they want to make you work for it a little to get your money back, even if it ends up costing them more.

Kinect Disneyland Adventures is down to $24.99 - not as good as $20 Best Buy had it for, but lowest on Amazon according to CCC.

http://www.amazon.com/Kinect-Disneyland-Adventures-Xbox-360/dp/B0050SYYTK/ref=sr_1_7?t=slicinc-20&tag=slicinc-20&ie=UTF8
There was a LD on amazon a few days ago for 22 or 23 I think, but it sold out in 5 mins. I guess LDs aren't included on CCC.

For those buying Bruder trucks, could I know where are you finding space to store them? Our house is not that small, and the boys have their own rooms and a playroom. Last year, we bought the flatbed truck with bull dozer for $20. It is stored in the toy box in the playroom but this huge thing takes up like half the space in the toybox. I would like the buy more, but I don't want to leave them lying around in the open. Just curious to know how others store them. Sorry if this is off-topic.

I think this would be great for my nephew but he lives out of state and I am concerned that both reviews say it arrived damaged. How easy it to return/exchange an Amazon gift? He is 2 but has a 4 yo brother. Think it would be a good idea?

We have that same one from last year. It is stored out in the corner of DS1's room. We're about to get 4 more for Christmas and they will be stored the same way in DC bedroom. We park them at night before we go to bed and they are 'on the road' during the day. :D

We have that same truck (as well as several others) and they live under our train-turned-Lego table. I'm hoping I can squeeze the Bruder crane that YDS is getting for Christmas under it as well because they take up a lot of floor space.

I wanted to return a couple baby gifts (not damaged, just didn't need them) that someone had ordered for us from Amazon, and the rep said I could get the original purchase price back on an Amazon gift card but that I would have to pay the shipping cost to return the item. However, I've had no problem exchanging/returning when the item arrived damaged (even for items that were sent to me gifts)--Amazon sent me a merchandise return label so I did not have to pay to send the damaged item back.

Well, we don't really store ours. They're pretty much always out. We keep them downstairs rather than up in the playroom because the downstairs has wood floors and more space. We just line them up against the wall to get them out of the way. Although they're big, honestly I prefer them to the ones with a million pieces (pattern blocks, Duplos, puzzles - arrrrgh!)

Not sure if this has been posted. Moon in my room is $15,49. Unfortunately my brother paid a lot more for it a few weeks ago for DS for Christmas. It annoys me to think of all the wrapped gifts under the tree that I could have bought for less money.

On the Bruder truck storage, we built wall to wall shelves in our play room closet, and we have several stored there. We also line up a few under the window in our office/den/playroom. They are space hogs, for sure.

No, they only take explorer games. I purchased the Leapster Leappad for my 6 year old and to prevent fighting, purchased this as a last minute gift as you can share the apps between two devices. Our regular leapster is on its way out. The screen is too light for the girls to play properly.

My son got these three years ago and I wish we had paid $11.42!
He does have the bigtop circus but this item could actually be used on its own. The quality is great!

Probably too big. I tried using the pumpanator with some 12" balloons and it was a big old joke. It was easier to just blow them up myself.

Thanks! Got one for the three day drive month. If it entertains DS one hour, totally worth $8.
