My 5.5 year old daughter loves the sticky art mosiacs. She has the unicorn one and loves to display her work when she's done. If there are smaller children in the house, then I would shy away from the first 2 options. I hate it when my DD1 gets little beads/jewelry kits because she wants to do them, and my DD2 (who's almost 2 yrs old) wants to help her and it becomes a war with letting DD1 do it, and keeping DD2 away. Such a hassle. With the sticky mosaics (any kind) I wouldn't mind if my little one was around DD1 while doing it.

If smaller children in the household aren't an issue - I think any of your choices are great!

My DD#1 would love any of those (and is actually getting set #2 for Christmas this year :)). Books, games or anything art-related are big hits for her.

Apologies in advance for hijacking, but would set #2 be appropriate for a seven year old girl or is it too babyish? I can never gauge appropriateness in gifts for kids older than my own.

I just picked up an AG craft kit for a 7yo friend's DD (she's into AG). I got the little set that has a restaurant order pad, plates, etc. It was about 13 dollars. Not sure if that helps Nechums.

OP, my DD would like the sticky mosaics best I think.

I ended up getting the sticky mosaic heart box with a small M&D bead set that I stumbled across for less than $5 so ~$15 total. Yay!
