I couldn't resist starting a thread on this because the other thread is getting too long. As I understand the sizes run big? I am 5'3" and less than 110 pounds BUT still have my baby belly from the 2 kids. I hope the smaller sizes are not too tight? Thoughts?

you are my twin! i was going to get on in XXS, due to post by a mama that at 5'5" 115 said the XXS was a good fit and the XS was too big....

but, now all the XXS are sold out. grrr.

Thanks for starting this thread! I jumped on the bandwagon and bought a small because that's my new Lands' End size (since I STILL haven't lost the twin baby weight). I'm about 5'-0" and 117 lbs and I don't like my clothes to be tight. Will this look ridiculous?

I am 5'7" and 130ish pounds and the small fits me nicely.

Glad to hear this because I'm the same size and ordered the small.

Uh oh
I'm 5"2" 130-135 and I ordered Medium. Hope its not too big. Although I don't need it to be tight, IMO a dress like this looks better when it's a little clingy.

Oh well. With everything I ordered, there's bound to be some returns.

I'm 5'5" and around 150 lbs (uggggggggg that kills me to write that) and I ordered a medium. I hope it fits right and doesn't show bulges.

I think that will be big.

Uh oh. I think I ordered smalls (2 dresses). I'm 5'3" and about 118-120 right now. I am always worried about cling around my middle (I have a little mummy tummy courtesy of my diastasis). I wonder if it should have been xs or small. I still think I'm kinda in between!

Even when I read the reviews for canvas items carefully, I seem to always be in between sizes, and often order everything in 2 different sizes to figure it out. Maybe I should have done that with the dress.

I am between 5'7" and 5'8", 128 pounds and ordered a small. I am a bit busty and have broader shoulders so it may not work out for me. Normally I am a size 2 on the bottom and size 6 or 8 on top so I am in between sizes too. It sounded like the dress ran on the larger side, so I opted for the small.

Oh dear. I just placed order #5 for 2 cowls in xs so I can compare to the smalls I already ordered. Ahem.

I also threw in another cowl neck tee (from regular lands end) in my cart. Saw these in store today and they looked like they ran small. I ordered xs in reg. lands end (my normal size there) but I am wondering if they'll fit. So I threw a small cowl neck tee in my cart so I can compare the fit.

Oh boy.

Oh, donner still worked for me.

Did anyone get a shipping notice yet? I have placed multiple orders over the past 2-3 days but haven't gotten any shipping notices yet.

I'm 5' 4" and 140-something and ordered a small.

No worries, after reading the pea coat thread, I ordered one of those for DD so I figured I'd order a small sized cowl necked dress for me :-)

I think I am going to order the Cowl neck dress too! I am short (5'3") and usually wear a 12P from places like Ann Taylor (I hate writing that - need to lose the baby weight). Should I get a Medium? I wear size medium sweaters in canvas, but I am nervous about the hip area looking tight and unflattering.

Anyone who is tall and already has tried it on? Looking at the model, it is fairly short on her. I would wear it with tights, but still don't want a super mini! I am 5'11, 140lbs.

If I order, I am thinking about an XS - 110 lb, 5'5" and no chest! XXS seems crazy small.

We'll see. I am 5'6" and 180 (that is even a harder number to write than 150, but I have an athletic frame so it doesn't look as bad as it seems, although I'd do anything to weigh 150 again (pre kids weight) and I thought I was overweight by 20lbs then!:() and also ordered a medium. I have had horrible luck with regular LE clothes size wise so if the medium is a little too tight the large is going to be too big and boxy on me. This is my first Canvas order so I honestly have no clue how the clothes are going to fit.

XXS is also out of stock I think.

It is a good thing everyone here lives in different parts of the country. It would be hilarious if there was a BBB live event and everyone showed up in the same Lands End dress. :hysterical:

Shoot, I am 5'7" and 180 and I ordered a L, maybe I need to go back for order #6?

(Really, I am just looking for an excuse) :)

xxs *IS* crazy in theory. But you need the xxs. I'm about that size and ordered both xs and xxs, xxs wins.

Sizing is so screwed up.

I didn't buy the dress, and you can't make me. :wavey::hysterical:

Somehow I don't think it would look as good on me (tall and chubby) as it does on all of you extra smalls.

OH! We are a similar size, but I am a couple inches taller.

I might buy this just for the tag. I will cut it out and frame it on my wall. "See??? I'm a size M"!

I think that is an excellent idea :)

Yeah, I am a little intimidated by the XXS orders for the dress, but I figure it is worth a shot, I really want to find a sweater/knit dress that doesn't look awful!

I was about to order and then found every color in my size had sold out. It was a sign--DH is already going to be unhappy about the four orders I placed this month (some of the stuff I ordered for him presale but the prices went up making it close enough to a wash to not deal with trying to figure out which item is cheaper which way)

Christine

who is still wobbling on the pink pea coats

Well, I am 5'7" and it is above the knee, but not a mini on me. Not sure how much that helps. . .
