Deal on binders - at thrift store?

I need to get 4-5 binders each semester - I was going to reuse by putting notes in manila folders once the semester was over, but many of clasess reference previous classes and it's easier to flick through a binder to find the information. I need 2" or 3" binders.

I though I saw them at the thrift store too?
Any advice/

I'd start working the deals at office stores. For example, each week this month at Staples, you can buy 2 packs of AA or AAA batteries for $12.99 each. You get 100% back in rewards next month. I'd spend that on the binders (I spend mine on ink). The batteries are more than I'd normally pay, but averaging it with the ink prices makes it work out.

Thrift stores is a good option, too. I've donated some to them in the past.
