Just wanted to weigh in since I have ordered from them. Basically you get what you pay for. I would order from them again in a heartbeat but if yopu are looking for something that will hold up...
I ordered DD a pettiskirt for her birthday party and it ripped after one wear. I also ordered a couple headbands that are not great quality. Ordered some necklaces, leotards, feather boahs, tutus, and leotards that were all decent. For the price I paid for the items and I cannot complain but if you are expecting good quality items....

I LOVE this site! My only complaint is that certain colors/styles that I've wanted sell out quickly!

So we got one of the pettiskirts a couple months ago. My DD is 6yo and she absolutely LOVES it, as do all of her friends who come over and play. We constructed DD's entire Halloween constume from Halo Heaven...Fancy Nancy! The pettiskirt, feather fan, gloves, halo with streamers, wand with bell, punky hair braid thingies, wings and more have all held up perfectly through 3 kiddie Halloween parties (one with a bouncy house), 1 school parade + party, and actual Halloween trick or treating. I think we lost 1 feather from the fan, but that is it.

Since then, she has worn the pettiskirt multiple times per week as have her friends who come over and fight over wearing it. IMHO, the pettiskirt is much more durable and substantial than the usual light weight dress up stuff. Yes, DD has worn it as a regular skirt, too. I can't tell you how many people have asked us where she's gotten it. You couldn't beat the price even before 50% off.

Some of their "goodie bag" type items I've purchased is of similar ilk to Oriental Trading. In fact, I have the safari coin purses from HH for goodie bags and the packaging actually had Oriental Trading on the sticker label.

FWIW, I placed an order the day that the sale went live (Wed 12/21) and a second order early the next morning (Thur 12/22). I received shipping notices for both of them exactly 7 days after they were placed (so 12/28 and 12/29 respectively) but with the holidays and the weekend, it was more like 3-4 business days.

Well, this is disappointing...I placed 2 different orders. For both I initially indicated that I didn't want them making substitutions, but then I sent CS an email the same day as my 2nd order (I'd placed the 1st order about 12 hrs. earlier) and I included my order numbers and said subs. were fine.

Got my first "shipment" yesterday. It seems that it was actually my second order. I had ordered 10 different "types" of items (bundles of clips, multiples of certain items, etc). and they sent one item. On my packing slip, the only thing is a highlight of the single item and a highlight on the "no" for my substitutions indication. There is no note saying that the other items were O/S or that I was getting a refund or anything. I just checked my tracking info from FedEx and it lists that package as 2 lbs and the package from the other order at 3 lbs. so I don't imaging that I'm going to receive much from that order either. Pretty disappointed. I had visions of tons of fun things and now we seem to be getting almost nothing.

FWIW I have not seen a refund on my credit card. I plan to try to contact the company after the holiday to just clarify that there are no other shipments pending and that a refund has been issued.

I said "no substitutions" but got everything. In the past I said "no substitutions" and got my order sans out of stock stuff (they don't let you know in advance, it is just on your packing sheet). Paid by cc literally within 2hrs of getting the 50% off email on 12/21.

There is a new "backordered" message on their website:
"Backorders

All orders placed with these backorders on them will be held until this shipment arrives in our warehouse. If you need other items shipped out immediately then please place a separate order for those items."

Again, I would call if you are nervous.

Tried to call them today just to see what is going on. The message says they will have the phones turned off at noon each day this week (according to the web site they are on mountain time) to catch up on orders. It also states that they are still working on the orders from 12/21. And that if someone needs something to email them.

I know they are a small company but it will really stink to wait all this time and get substitutions or nothing at all. I did allow subs with the note that I did not want any camo stuff, but I have to say it did not occur to me that they would sub the assorted groupings. I guess I was only thinking of the single item korkers and having it switched to a different color... I really hope I don't get a box full of subs that I hate!

On one of my past orders I selected that I did not want substitutions and when something was out of stock they refunded me. On a more recent one they marked one of my items out of stock but then it showed up in the mail a week or two later, I had completely forgot about it, but was happy to see it show up and I wasn't charged shipping etc., I think it was just not in stock at the time I ordered and they knew it was coming shortly so they sent it when it came in stock. Hopefully the same will be for you as well.

Well, if this helps instill some hope, I got my second order today (which was the first one that I placed on 12/21). It was received complete. I still have no idea why the second order that I placed 12 hrs. later was received sooner and contained almost nothing.

I said I was ok with substitutes, and I did get a few. I ordered 5 of the Icy Rose headbands, and they substituted different colors on all of them (orange instead of red, lavender instead of purple, ivory instead of white, navy instead of brown, light blue instead of turquoise). One of my mini korkers was subbed for a different color (pinks instead of hot pink bubbles). I got two hot pink crystal spring daisy headbands instead of one of those and one hot pink crystal mum headband - but I don't know if that was a mistake, because it wasn't written as a sub on my invoice. Everything else came as ordered, and the quality seems fine. My 2 dozen assorted bows are actually 24 different ones, which is so kind of them! (Rather than just sticking the leftovers in and getting 5 orange bows, 6 forest green bows, etc)

Overall, I'm happy, and I would order again. Communication wasn't good, but I appreciate that the subs seem thoughtful (trying to find similar colors to subsitute). Hope this detailed substitution report helps some who are waiting and wondering about their own orders. :)

You just gave me an idea. Every year my local garden forum group has an annual spring fling. We trade plants, bring dishes to pass, door prizes, and kiddie activities/favors.

Does anyone know how often they run the 50% off sale?

They have said on their facebook page that they aren't going to run it again because they were so slammed with orders and they couldn't get them out in a timely fashion. I guess lots of people complained. :-( Too bad for the rest of us because the prices were awesome!
