Prepare for a brand new current generation nano!! I sent in my first generation nano thinking I would get a first generation refurbished model but I today I received a current generation nano!!!

I also received a new nano. I have heard that the first gen has better functionality, but it was quirky and I had to reset it often so I am happy!

For those interested in how long it takes, it took me over a week to receive the box for return, andi didn't get the new nano for 4 weeks.

We have a first generation nano, but it was a gift. Can you tell me why they are replacing them? We have had problems sometimes with reset and lost data, but I had put that down to the fact that we didn't have a Mac, and maybe we waited too long between syncs? It's only recently that we've begun to use it a lot.

I'm anxiously awaiting my new nano! I sent mine in a pretty long time ago and just received a shipment notification a few days ago. The shipment notification includes the product's serial number. When I checked the serial number, it showed it was a new version. I'm so excited! It's like a Christmas present from Apple! lol

I read online that there's no warranty on the 6th gen replacements. OP, is that true? I didn't see that when I looked up my serial number, but I wasn't sure.

I'm still waiting to get my box from Apple. I'm pretty excited about getting a new Nano. It seems like it is taking forever to get the box to send in my old nano though.

I doubt that is true. I would imagine there is the same warranty on this device as on any refurbished nano.

That's what I was thinking. It seemed odd that someone said that there wasn't a warranty.

Thanks. I just went back to try it again, but it says I've already started the process and it doesn't provide any options for letting them know you haven't received the box. I hunted down the email confirmation I received from Apple and it doesn't give any details on where you can go if you haven't received your mailing box.

Do you think I could just take the nano and the email to the apple store and see if they can help? I'm not really sure what else to do.

We just got our box on December 13th and mailed our Nano off a few days later so we are still waiting. We signed up as soon as it was announced - not sure what the delay was, but those still waiting on boxes - take heart. I ended up sending in 2 email inquiries asking for a status update on the repair since it had been so long since we applied with no box receipt, but never received a response. It was interesting trying to figure out when it would come.

Glad to hear the news about the new Nano as the replacement!

I did check the repair status, but it doesn't show anything since I haven't returned it. It is still in step 1 and, again, there's no place to really contact them. I guess I will give it a little longer and see if the box was delayed due to the holidays.
