I need a stepstool for DD to reach the kitchen and bathroom sinks. She is very small so regular stools are too short. I finally got her this (http://www.rubbermaid.com/Category/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?Prod_ID=RP091948) which is almost high enough, but there is no place to put it in either room, and we are constantly tripping over it. I really need something that folds, like this (http://www.rubbermaid.com/Category/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?Prod_ID=RP091073), but the folding ones I have found open at an angle (like a sawhorse) and do not sit flush to the cabinet. Any ideas?

Not folding but works great. Light enough for dd2 to tote around and very safe.
Keep it in your back pocket. http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&productId=202051319&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=202051319&cm_mmc=shopping-_-googlebase-_-D22X-_-202051319&locStoreNum=3809

What about something like this: http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/small-step-ladder/

I know that there are folding kitchen stool/chairs but I can't seem to dig them up. Like this, but the whole thing folds: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1485765&cp=2568443.2568451.2626215.1260664

Or, this: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1289924

(Better price here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002AAZGQG/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0002TVSQY&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1Y524A5WW0DQ9J2RSARF)

This doesn't fold, but we have it and love it. It's about 20" high: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60178887/?cid=en%3Epc%3Ego%3Eproducts_search

I absolutely love that, but it is more than I had anticipated spending on a step stool. I need to sleep on that one.

I'll go look at that IRL. I have something similar, but it doesn't sit flush enough to the cabinet and DD has to lean over the gap.

Oooh! This is fantastic. Thanks!

Thanks so much to both of you!

We used something like this for awhile:
http://www.amazon.com/Tricam-TR-2W-HB-200-Pound-Capacity-Highback/dp/B000063SYW

The only drawback was that it was REALLY high and allowed a creative toddler a whole new level of access to the countertops. The back fits pretty closely to the cabinets so there isn't a huge gap.

I'd also be weary of pinched fingers if the child needs to fold it up.
